For more than thirty years, Jessica Hancock has approached art as a discipline of attention to detail. She first built her reputation through rigorously constructed abstract geometric work, with compositions grounded in structure, proportion, and visual balance. That same precision now shapes a broader practice centered on recognizable subjects from the real world. Each piece, whether representational or abstract, is rendered entirely by hand. Most paintings are created using traditional watercolor paints. Drawings are typically rendered in pencil or ink.
Jessica’s work has been exhibited widely and recognized with prestigious honors, including the Acanthus Award for Allied Arts & Craftsmanship from the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art (Chicago-Midwest Chapter), Artist of the Year from Nickel Plate Arts, and Illustrator of the Year from ADC Fine Art Associates. She has been commissioned by private collectors and organizations that value a master’s touch, traditional craftsmanship, and timeless quality.
